During the construction of the 138,000-square-foot Flagstaff Lodge, Wasatch Electric was contracted to provide electrical construction services.
The 40-unit, luxury residential complex in Deer Valley also includes a large commons area with a great room, pub, inglenook, game room, and lounge seating.
The goal for this project was to achieve the highest level of quality and use as much natural construction material as possible, while still maintaining functionality and sustainability.
Scope of Work
The scope of work covered a wide range of electrical solutions, including:
- All power requirements
- Custom interior and exterior lighting with varied dimming requirements
- Access control
- Underfloor heating
- Extensive snow melt system
- Emergency generator
- Audio/visual raceways and cabling
- Pump-room power and control wiring
The state-of-the-art, highly complex snowmelt system was an essential component of the project – our team played a critical role in its installation and design.
This mountain project had all of the challenges inherent in performing large-scale construction in a remote, high-elevation location.
The winter season proved to be especially bitter, with record snowfall. The mountainside worksite also meant that there was extremely limited staging and lay-down areas, requiring close coordination between our suppliers, warehousing, and pre-fabrication teams.
Even with the difficult conditions, we were able to bring the project in on time and within budget.
