thomer.jpgTim Homer, who has held the role of President and CEO of Wasatch Electric since 1994 and was named Utah Business Magazine’s “CEO of the Year” for 2009, will retire on March 31, 2017.

Tim began his career at Wasatch Electric in 1972, and through his various roles, has helped the organization earn a number of awards, including: the 2014 AGC Specialty Contractor of the Year Award, the Intermountain Electrical Association’s "Most Outstanding Utah Electrical Contractor of the Year" Award (10 years in a row; 14 years total), the Utah Safety Council Award of Merit (2003-2016), the AGC’s Achievement of Safety Excellence Award (12 years total), the General Dynamics Supplier Excellence Award (3 Years Total), the 2012 CH2MHill Outstanding Subcontractor Award, and the 2010 HHI Corporation Outstanding Project Performance Award.

When asked about his time at Wasatch and all he helped accomplish, Tim directed the spotlight back on the Wasatch Electric team. “When we achieve success—no matter what we do—there’s usually more than one person involved in it. I would attribute Wasatch Electric’s success to the people I work with.”

  • NECA Chapter President 2001-2002
